About the Role
The Concept Designer will be responsible for visualizing and designing the look and feel of characters, environments, props, and key moments for the project. They will translate story ideas and creative direction into compelling concept art that defines the film’s visual style and supports production teams in modeling and look development. The role involves close collaboration with the Director and Art Director to explore ideas, iterate designs, and maintain a consistent artistic vision throughout development.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Concept Artist/Designer in animation, games, or film
Strong skills in digital painting and sketching using tools like Photoshop, Procreate, or similar
Ability to design characters, environments, and props in a consistent style
Good understanding of composition, color, lighting, and visual storytelling
Ability to quickly explore ideas and iterate based on feedback
Strong imagination and creative problem-solving skills
Understanding of how concept art translates to 3D production
Ability to follow art direction and style guides
Good communication and collaboration skills
A strong portfolio showcasing concept design work
