About the Role
The Texturing Artist will be responsible for creating high-quality textures and surface details for characters, props, and environments, ensuring they match the artistic style and realism required for the project. The role involves painting and developing textures, working with UV layouts, and collaborating closely with the Lookdev, Modeling, and Lighting teams to achieve visually appealing, production-ready assets that render efficiently and consistently across the film.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in texture painting for animation, VFX, or games
Strong proficiency in tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Mari, Photoshop, or similar
Good understanding of PBR workflows and material creation
Ability to work with UV maps and optimize texture layouts
Strong eye for color, detail, and surface variation
Experience texturing characters, props, and environments
Ability to follow style guides and art direction
Understanding of how textures affect lighting and rendering
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
